Sony has provided some insight into its press conference at this year’s E3 show in Los Angeles.
The press conference will kick off at 2am UK time on Tuesday 12 June and will, as ever, be streamed around the world. However, in a blogpost, Sony has broken with tradition to provide an idea of what we can expect from the event. According to the post, we can expect an extended look at four highly anticipated games: “PlayStation’s Worldwide Studios will be at E3 in full force to provide you with an exclusive look at four upcoming titles: Death Stranding from Kojima Productions, Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch, Marvel’s Spider-Manfrom Insomniac Games, and The Last of Us Part II from Naughty Dog.
The post continues: “Of course, we’ll have stellar announcements from third-party publishers and independent developers, who are all busy devising innovative new experiences that will make your heart race and your emotions soar.”
The conference’s focus on games can be interpreted as confirmation that Sony won’t have any new hardware on show – while the company is undoubtedly working on the PlayStation 5, there’s still plenty of life left in the PlayStation 4, as shown by the success of recent PS4 exclusives like God Of War.
The blogpost confirms that Sony’s E3 2018 press conference will be broadcast on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook; the best place to find out how to watch it is via the E3 2018 page on Sony’s website.
