A new Leisure Suit Larry game apparently appeared on Steam at the weekend, before being swiftly removed from Valve’s online store.
Billed as Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry, (surely the most excruciating ever title for a game?) its Steam listing set a release date of October 24 and a price of $29.99, but was devoid of any further information.
Currently, Codemasters owns the rights to the venerable point-and-click franchise, although it licensed them to Replay Games for the crowdfunded 2013 comeback effort Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded.
With the likes of the #Metoo campaign in full force, it seems like an odd time for a more or less inherently sexist – Leisure Suit Larry games involved helping the hapless, eponymous character get laid – franchise to make a comeback. If any more information emerges on the subject, we’ll bring it to you.
