Warhammer: Vermintide 2 coming to Xbox One in July

Developer Fatshark has announced that Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be released on the Xbox One on July 11 2018.

The first-person melee-action game set in Games Workshop’s Warhammer universe was released for the PC on March 8 2018, and is mooted for a PlayStation 4 release before the end of 2018. But Xbox One owners won’t have to wait long before they can play it, and the Xbox One version of the game has now entered an open beta period via the Xbox Insider Programme.

Fatshark CEO Martin Wahlund said: “After the huge success with the release of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 on PC, we are happy and excited to bring the game to Xbox One. We can’t wait to stick it to the Skaven and Chaos on another platform.”

The Premium Edition of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is now available for pre-order, and the Standard Edition of the game will be available on Microsoft Game Pass from day one of release. According to Fatshark, “An upgrade to Premium Edition will be available on release day.” For more information, keep an eye on the game’s official website.
