After teasing it for years with night light tweets and a ‘will they won’t they’ dialogue with fans, a leak has confirmed that Diablo 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch.
The news came last night when redditor Riomegon noticed a Forbes article which was published for mere minutes before being taken down.
The article (which was clearly under embargo) finally confirmed that the game is coming, and will be titled “Diablo III Eternal Collection.”
The collection contains the main game and all of the DLC, which includes the Rise of the Necromancer pack, the most-recent offering that adds a revamped Necromancer class from the second game.
Not one to shy away from version exclusive content, Nintendo has added a number of items from The Legend Of Zelda to the game, including a pet chicken and an armor set that makes you look like the no-good evil king Ganondorf.
Multiplayer features are fleshed out in a meaningful way with four player co-op available on one machine, with online play tied to the upcoming Switch online service, which is paid.
The only thing missing from the leak is, unfortunately, the release date, but we do know it will be full price ($59.99) upon release.
