Activision and Treyarch have released a new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 that features all three of the game’s modes – Multiplayer, Zombies, and Blackout.
Effectively a launch gameplay trailer – even though Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 won’t be released until October 12 – the video (see below) shows that the game will offer some pretty diverse first-person shooter action despite being the first iteration of Call of Duty to ship without a single-player mode.
Perhaps the standout element of the trailer is Zombies mode, which can be seen to include a take on Ancient Roman-style gladiatorial combat featuring wild beasts. It also boasts a gunfight enacted on rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) and shows Blackout, which will be Call of Duty’s first take on the Battle Royale format. Gadgets including moving robot turrets are also in evidence.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 promises a heavily revamped Multiplayer mode and what Activision claims will be: “The biggest Day 1 Zombies offering ever with three full experiences at launch, IX, Voyage of Despair, and Blood of the Dead.” For more information in the run-up to the game’s release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, keep an eye on its official website.
