Bethesda Softworks has announced that Fallout 76’s beta programme will start on Tuesday, October 23.
Initially, the beta programme (which Bethesda, amusingly, insists stands for Break-It Early Test Application) will commence on the Xbox One only, with the PlayStation 4 and PC beta programmes getting underway a week later on 30 October.
If you’re interested in participating in the Fallout 76 beta, Bethesda has created a handy Beta FAQ page. It may also be worth keeping an eye on Bethesda.net’s Status Page when the beta gets going, to keep abreast of news about times when servers will be operational.
The video above shows the official in-game intro, about which Bethesda says: “While players ultimately will experience unique adventures, stories, and exciting moments along their Fallout 76 journey, they’ll all begin the same: within the safe confines of Vault 76 on Reclamation Day. For the very first time, we’re excited to share the first step players will take into beautiful, untamed Appalachia… “
Fallout 76 will officially launch on November 14, across all three platforms. Your best port of call to keep up with any developments in the game’s official website.
