Sony has revealed the selection of games which will be hard-wired into its forthcoming PlayStation Classic retro-console.
The miniature reimaging of the original PlayStation will include stone-cold classics including Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, the original Grand Theft Auto and Resident Evil: Director’s Cut. It will come with 20 games, although some of the games which defined the PlayStation are conspicuous by their absence, such as Parappa the Rapper, WipeOut and Tomb Raider.
The full list of PlayStation classic games (in alphabetical order) is: Battle Arena Toshinden, Cool Boarders 2. Destruction Derby, Final Fantasy VII, Grand Theft Auto, Intelligent Qube, Jumping Flash, Metal Gear Solid, Mr Driller, Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, Rayman, Resident Evil Director’s Cut, Revelations: Persona, Ridge Racer Type 4, Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, Syphon Filter, Tekken 3, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6, Twisted Metal and Wild Arms.
