BioWare has released an Xbox One X Enhanced version of Mass Effect Andromeda.
As reported by Windows Central, a new 1.68Gb update for the much-maligned space-RPG now allows it to run in 4K on an Xbox One X.
On its release in March 2017, Mass Effect Andromeda faced a storm of criticism due to its bugginess and the shoddiness of its facial motion-capture. BioWare has since worked hard to fix the bugs and has attempted to improve the facial motion-capture, so the Xbox One X Enhanced version of the game should at least be a huge improvement on the original version.
Following the dent in its reputation caused by Mass Effect Andromeda, BioWare hasn’t confirmed whether further iterations of the franchise are in the pipeline. Currently, it is concentrating on a new IP, Anthem, due for a 22 February 2019 release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. For further Mass Effect news, keep an eye on the franchise’s website.
