Fortnite passes 200 million-player milestone

Fortnite: Battle Royale

Epic Games has revealed that Fortnite now has more than 200 million registered players worldwide.

The news regarding the battle royale game’s stunningly huge user base was first reported by Bloomberg and has subsequently been confirmed by Epic  Games. It illustrates Fortnite’s stunning growth-rate: the last figure for registered Fortnite users that Epic reported was 125 million, as recently as June 2018.

For Fortnite, the records keep on coming. As we reported, earlier this month the game hit a new high of 8.3 million concurrent users, and in September it set another record for monthly unique players, notching no fewer than 78.3 million of them.

Meanwhile, Epic Games has just announced that when Fortnite’s 6.31 update kicks in, players will be able to buy items in order to gift them to others. For further Fortnite news, keep an eye on the game’s website.
