NetherRealm Studios has revealed two more characters coming to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster.
The first addition is Kabal, an old-school Mortal Kombat character who wields dual hook-blades that eviscerate his foes in grisly detail. In the reveal trailer, you can see the full extent of his face crimes as Kabal drags his opponent face-first through a portal, before cleaving them in half to wrap up the fatality. Lovely stuff.
As well as Kabal, fans of Mortal Kombat X will be pleased to learn that D’Vorah is making a triumphant return for the 11th game. D’Vorah is a no good insectoid that incubates her foes with the swarm. It’s disgusting, but she makes for a potent warrior that is nimble and difficult to deal with.
D’Vorah first appeared in Mortal Kombat X, so it’s good to see both the old and the new school receiving the call to join the roster.
A shirtless Kano is also coming to the game in the near future, the evil cyborg Australian who loves a good hunting knife.
It’ll be interesting to see if there are any more absurd offerings coming to the MK11 roster, what with NetherRealm’s Injustice 2 receiving the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, of all reptiles to fight against.
Unfortunately, it won’t be Shaggy, as NetherRealm tweeted out #RIPShaggy from the official Mortal Kombat 11 account, in response to fan demand. Yikes, Scoob.
You can catch the distinctly Shaggy-less Mortal Kombat 11 when it launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC this April 23rd.
