Ubisoft has released details of a number of new features and extra content coming to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey via updates in February 2019.
New features include the arrival of New Game + about which Ubisoft says: “It will allow players to start a new game while keeping all their hard-earned gear, upgrades, abilities that they have gathered in their previous play through. Consequently, they will be able to change the choices they made and chose whether they want to play as Kassandra or Alexios. To access the New Game + players need to complete the main Story Arc.”
In addition, the level cap will be raised to 99, 22 Fast Travel points will be added, “Mainly near ports,” two additional tiers will be added to the Mercenary Ladder and Photo Mode Frames will be added.
Content-wise, February 2019 will see the arrival of the sixth episode of the free content known as The Lost Tales of Greece, entitled A Brother’s Seduction: “In this episode, players encounter brotherly rivalry that will create some family drama. The first quest is called ‘Prodigal Son’s Return’.”
Ubisoft is also adding a Wild Boar Pack, which: “Contains the Wild Boar gear set, new mount and new legendary weapon. In addition, the goddess of the hunt Artemis has been released as Lieutenant for the Adrestia,” and a Deep Sea Hunter Pack, which: “Contains gear set, new mount and legendary weapon. It also allows players to customize the Adrestia while providing new crew theme, the Teethers, a shark-style figurehead and a new ship design that will leave opponents helpless in the water.”
In addition, Ubisoft has provided an update on the recently announced remastered version of Assassin’s Creed III: “The remastered version of the game is just about a month away. It will come with improvements, such as new character models, modernized User Interface, a new lighting rendering system. Assassin’s Creed III and Liberation Remastered will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on March 29, 2019 and are also included in the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass.”
