Resident Evil 0, 1 and 4 heading to Switch in May

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 0, 1 and 4 will all be released for the Switch on May 21.

In a tweet, the publisher said: “Resident Evil 0, 1, and 4 are coming to Nintendo Switch eShop on May 21! Play all three masterpieces anywhere, such as: – On trains – During mansion tours – Across the European countryside. Pre-orders start on Feb 28!”

Capcom’s Twitter feed also revealed that: “European Switch owners will be able to grab all three games as separate digital downloads through the Nintendo eShop!” Whereas in North America, “North American Switch owners will be able to purchase Resident Evil Origins Collection at retail, bundling together both RE0 and 1!”

The version of Resident Evil 1 on offer will be the 2002 remake of the 1996 original, which debuted on Nintendo’s GameCube – as did Resident Evil 0 (also in 2002) and Resident Evil 4 (in 2005). For further news regarding Resident Evil games coming to the Switch, keep an eye on Capcom’s website.
