Gearbox Teasing Possible Borderlands Reveal At Pax East

The schedule for PAX East in March has been revealed, and with it, we finally receive some details about the future of the Borderlands franchise.

Gearbox Software has booked in a Theater Show at the Boston conference and the details are tantalizing.

“This is your opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at Gearbox Software and Gearbox Publishing,” the panel description reads. Fans should attend for “the latest news and updates from the makers of Borderlands, Battleborn, Brothers In Arms, and more!”

The most interesting part of the description is that Gearbox has “never-before-seen reveals, exclusives, and surprises” in store.

Whispers have been surfacing for a while now about a possible Borderlands 3, as well as a remaster of the original Borderlands titles. Take-Two made mention of an upcoming title that was “highly anticipated” during financial report season, and the Walmart Canada E3 leak had the game listed in 2018, despite nothing coming of it.

It’s unconfirmed, but we know the game is in development, and Gearbox has been quiet for a while now. Basically, be sure to keep your ear to the ground on March 28th as hopefully, we’ll be seeing more of Claptrap and friends!
