Ubisoft has announced that Judgment of Atlantis, the third and final episode of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey’s Fate of Atlantis DLC story arc, will be released on July 16.
The French publisher made the announcement on Twitter: “We’re excited to reveal that the final DLC episode, Judgment of Atlantis, will be available on July 16!” It hasn’t yet got around to releasing details of Judgment of Atlantis which, following Fields of Elysium and Torment of Hades, completes the Ancient Greece-set game’s second post-launch story arc, Fate of Atlantis.
However, in a blogpost on the Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey website, Fate of Atlantis Game Director Hugo Giard offered some insight into the third instalment of Fate of Atlantis: “The most fun I had was building the stories for Episode 3, Judgment of Atlantis. These stories are a culmination of all the work we did on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and the second DLC in terms of how we built our stories and our quests, and what kinds of choices we put in front of our players. We managed to build Judgment of Atlantis to be a fitting conclusion to the design work we did for storytelling. I had an absolute blast working on that. Much of the team was enthused with building the fantastic worlds because we’re so used to building realistic worlds. From a creative perspective, that was incredibly rewarding.”
Meanwhile, at E3, Ubisoft unveiled a Story Creator mode for Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, as we had previously predicted. On the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey website, Ubisoft described it thus: “Write your own stories with beloved historical and fictional characters from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and accompany them with gameplay, handwritten dialogue and a mixture of quest objectives. Choose from a selection of familiar quest objectives to build fun and challenging Stories.”
With the arrival of Judgment of Atlantis wrapping up Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey’s post-launch DLC program, the game’s Story Creator should continue to generate a stream of new storylines for the game. For more Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey-related information, visit its website.
