The next huge update for the ever-evolving No Man’s Sky has received a release date, the Beyond update will be coming out on the 14th of August on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.
The seventh major update to be released for No Man’s Sky, Beyond follows Foundation, Path Finder, Atlas Rises, Next, The Abyss, and Visions as the game continues to change and be updated beyond almost all recognition. Released to a mixed reaction in 2016, the game has since received a much kinder response with player reviews on Steam being ‘Mostly Positive’ over recent months.
As with the other updates, Beyond will be free for all No Man’s Sky owners and will contain a large swathe of updates and changes. In particular, there are three main strands of updates being included in No Man’s Sky Beyond.
Currently, we know some details behind two of Beyond’s update features. The first, No Man’s Sky Online, will overhaul the social and multiplayer experience, and as we said over on the Green Man Gaming blog whilst Hello Game deny this turns the game into a full-fledged MMO experience, it does sound like the update will add more of the M into MMO.
The second strand concerns itself with VR – titled No Man’s Sky VR – with full support for both PlayStation VR and Steam VR being added into the game. This means you’ll be able to immerse yourself into the vast universe of No Man’s Sky like never before.
The third update strand promised for No Man’s Sky Beyond has yet to be announced, understandably Hello Games are being cagey with some of the details regarding unreleased features for No Man’s Sky. As soon as there’s more information about No Man’s Sky Beyond, we’ll have the scoop right here on the Green Man Gaming Newsroom.
