Developer Triumph Studios and publisher Paradox Interactive have announced that Revelations, the first expansion for Age of Wonders: Planetfall, will be released on November 19 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Revelations will will introduce the ancient Heritor Secret Technology to the popular turn-based strategy game, along with new campaign missions and location mechanics.
Paradox Interactive described Revelations thus: “Revelations sets in motion the return of the entombed Es’Teq dynasty, whose Heritor descendants aim to use ancient technology and reincarnate billions of followers across the galaxy, establishing divine rule. The Heritor wield strong Entropy weapons that are effective against machines and can awaken ancient Es’Teq minds. Claim ancient secrets or succumb to their power in a new campaign with tactical combat and in-depth empire building.”
As described on the Age of Wonders: Planetfall website, Revelations’ key features include over 30 new Anomalous Sites: “Filled with traps and powerful enemies to reap unique rewards and uncover great secrets;” two new campaigns cumulatively lasting over 10 hours; a new scenario entitled Tomb World; a new NPC faction called The Forgotten and much more.
