With Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order under their belts and Apex Legends continuing to set the battle royale arena alight, you’d be forgiven for thinking that developers Respawn Entertainment could rest on their laurels for a bit. However, it appears that Respawn have more Star Wars incoming, with some job postings indicating that they’re working on another Star Wars action/adventure game.
As reported in GamesRadar, Respawn are currently looking for a Senior Character Artist, Level Designer, and a Senior Software Engineer, all working as part of the Star Wars team. There’s not much to go on in terms of what Respawn are planning, but the Software Engineer role mentions that the candidate should be “passionate about the Star Wars™ Universe and is invigorated by the idea of coding third-person action/adventure games”
So whilst we can’t say for sure exactly what game is in the works, Respawn are at least looking at a third-person action/adventure game in the Star Wars universe, which may indicate that this is a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order or at least indicates the potential for one to exist. Of course, this is all conjecture at this point, these job listings may be for a completely different project or maybe related to upcoming DLC for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Overall though with EA’s Star Wars licence reaping Star Wars rewards, the Mandalorian on television, and a new Star Wars film just around the corner, it’s a good time to be a Star Wars fan. So we recommend that you trust in the force, and us, as we’ll make sure that if there’s any new Star Wars news in the gaming world, you can read about it first right here on the Green Man Gaming Newsroom.
