We’re attending Gamescom next week, and one of our games is having its worldwide debut at Gamescom! Along with Green Man Gaming Publishing, we’re pleased to present The Bunker, a live-action game from the writers that brought you games such as Broken Sword, SOMA and The Witcher! With this pedigree behind them, the team at Splendy Games have also called forth the talents of Adam Brown (The Hobbit) and Sarah Greene (Penny Dreadful) to act in this live-action thriller.
So what exactly is The Bunker, I hear you say? Think a game like Broken Sword, but fully interactive and shot in an actual Nuclear Bunker. The game is centred around playing as John (Adam Brown), who has lived in a bunker all his life. He sticks to his routine every day. Brushing his teeth, taking his medication. But loneliness breeds discontent, John’s sight betrays him, is what he’s seeing real at all? Discover for yourself when you visit our Gamescom stand!
We had a little chat to some of the people who’re working on The Bunker, so we’ve brought in Green Man Gaming Publishing’s own David Martin to talk about it!
“Working on The Bunker is certainly different from traditional games! The prospect of working on a live action psychological horror was a fascinating one, and seeing adventure games go from strength to strength over recent years meant we were very interested in seeing what Splendy Games and Wales Interactive would produce. It’s been tough to keep the secrets of The Bunker hidden, and look forward to seeing it being uncovered when the game is released later this year.”
