Begin writing your New Eden legend with the EVE Online Standard Pack. Start life in the fast lane with 150 PLEX and 30 days of Omega Clone State time to gain an advantage and progress quickly, and look good while doing it with 4 unique ship SKINs and 8 pieces of character apparel.
Whoever expected an action-packed space ship shooter can go back immediately. The game is very extensive. I have played for a long time without Steam (ie directly over the EvE client). That's why I can tell you that you need time to understand the game and to achieve something. What do I mean by that? You have to learn a lot to get a footing, the learning curve is bigger than that of any other MMO. You can look forward to it: a lot of theory and many tutorials, which you have to do twice to understand everything. But if you have learned everything (not everything, partly fits), it really makes a lot of fun and it is also much more interesting. Many people can be frightened by the quite long tutorials and announce the subscription after a month again. A mistake as I find the game offers endless possibilities. Whether it is a Soviet troop, trade mogul, soldier or civilian who simply pulls through the day no matter. You can do anything, I would declare Eve as the real life in game form. There are laws, courts, police, an economy controlled by players, everything you can not enumerate here as the possibilities are infinite. If you expect to play in the upper league after one month, forget it. It can take up to one year to build up an existence that means something in this great universe, both economically and technically (spaceship, money, materials). The corps are important, because you are working for the money you need to buy new things. As I said, the real life in a game, work and make money to achieve something. Everything I can not explain here because it is so extensive that even the people, who have been around for years, do not know everything. It sounds crazy but it is the truth. Time is the most important thing you must have in this game, then you can also deal with the monthly subscription costs. I hope this review helped you make a decision.
I've been playing this game several years over the normal client and can therefore also make a conclusion here with calm. This game is sandbox - everyone writes his own story here. There is only one server to play on. What makes eve different from other MMOs? It is the diversity of possibilities and the free gameplay. Everyone is allowed to do what they want. Or simply take the path of the dealer or producer. Whether PVP or PvE ... it is left to everyone what they want to do. This game has been partly simplified to make it easier for new players to get started. But it is not easy if you are literally slain by the mass of information. If you want to feel free in an mmo and be left to do what you want and with the risk to lose your ship any second than eve online is all you need. You need a lot of patience in this game. You learn books (skills) in real time. This can be an advantage for the professional player. So, you are progressing without being active in the game. Skillpoints can be purchased in the game or with real money. (At first, an advantage for new players who are impatient). As for the community, it should be said that this is a game for adults. Conclusion: * Beautiful graphics (for a game of 2003) * Variety * For players who do not want to spend hours on the high level * Freedom
