Roogoo is an innovative and unusual 3D puzzle game that has players guide and stack different shaped blocks through various platforms to not only save planet Roo, but the entire Roogoo race. Roogoo tasks players with guiding meteors in the form of shaped blocks through a series of rotating disks as a means of saving planet Roo and the entire Roogoo race. If aligned correctly, the disks allow the blocks to reach the ground and scores are awarded. Various obstacles and enemies will impede the blocks' movement and with the flow of meteor blocks steadily increasing as the game progresses, players will have to think on their feet to save the Roogoo and rack up seriously high scores.

Roogoo is nice puzzle game. It's simply based on getting color A through the color A opening untill you reach the lowest platform. It starts really easy but will eventually get more and more difficult at the point that it gets annoying, especially when you try to achieve the time bonus (sometimes it feels impossible - but that does make it an addicting game!). For this kind of money it's cool to try. I've had about 6 hours into the game and am still trying to achieve some time bonusses!
Genuinely new ideas can be tough to come by. With so many developers constantly sticking their hand in the puzzle game pot, it's no wonder there are so many re-skinned clones out there. Roogoo may not be a totally innovative take on the classic falling-block puzzler, but it turns it on its head enough so that the gameplay feels fresh and fairly exciting for what it is. Packing 45 levels and offline split-screen multiplayer, it may not as fully-featured as its Xbox Live doppelganger, but it's still worth a look for fans of the genre. While the folks at Spidermonk (the developers) do attempt a story, it really doesn't have much an impact on the action -- or your enjoyment level. You play as a Roogoo. One of the few remaining kind-hearted blokes in the alien race, in fact. It seems that King Goo, ruler of Planet Roo started stealing "joyful meteors" in order to fuel construction efforts to build new, bigger cities. After consuming meteors for some time, King Goo and his followers changed from cute little Roogoo into mean, nasty Meemoo. Now you have to stop the Meemoo and Prince Moo in their efforts to attain the rest of the falling meteors all for themselves.
RooGoo is a really fun puzzle game. RooGoo might look like a Tetris-clone, but it changes after playing 1 hour or so. Its 45 levels are refreshing and you won't feel bored with them. Multiplayer is good, specially with a friend and its soundtrack really matches the game well.
