Everything You Need To Know About Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord has finally been unleashed into Early Access, meaning we can all get our hands on more plotting, more combat, and more medieval action. This sequel to the original Mount and Blade games has been hotly anticipated throughout recent years, with fans clamouring for news throughout its development. Finally though, it’s here. Blending together RPG, strategy, and simulation, Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is a game you can immerse yourself in for many months and years to come.

If the game has passed you by or if you’re just needing to know key information about the game, here’s everything you need to know to get up to speed and start carving out your own medieval fiefdom.

Release Date

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord released onto Steam Early Access on the 30th of March, 2020. The final release date has yet to be announced, with developers Taleworlds Entertainment stating that they expect it to be in Early Access for at least a year. This means that for the final, full release of the game, we shouldn’t be looking any nearer than 2021.

Platforms

No other platforms other than PC have been announced for Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, meaning if you’re a PC player this is targeted and optimised directly for you. However, as we go into the next generation of consoles later this year and into 2021, we’ll see if Mount and Blade makes the jump to console.
