Overwatch – Free To Play Weekend!

If you haven’t had the chance to play Overwatch yet then now is your chance, as the game will be free to play across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC from the 18th until the 21st of November 2016.

So what will you get access to during this free Overwatch weekend? Well players will have access to all of the 22 heroes and the 13 maps that are currently available in the game. Players will also have the opportunity to jump into quick play, custom games and the weekly brawl. The great news here is that if you are a new player to Overwatch and decide to purchase the game after the epic free weekend, your game progress will carry over.

Players will also be able to try out 4 different game modes which include: Control, Escort, Assault and Assault/Escort. Each of these modes will take place in a variety of locations with all 4 modes supporting a 12 players 6v6 format. Sadly though, competitive mode won’t be offered to new players trying out Overwatch over the weekend.

So if you want to jump into the this free weekend of Overwatch goodness, all you need is either an Xbox Live Gold, PlayStation Plus or Battle.net account to play. The download file should be around 12GB.

The Weekend is due to kick off at 11am PT on the 18th of November and it will end on the 21st of November at 4pm PT.
