Marvel and Capcom revealed Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite at the PlayStation Experience over the weekend. The next instalment in the franchise grudge match is coming in 2017.
The reveal trailer showcased Ryu and Mega Man from the Capcom side and Iron Man and Captain Marvel from the Marvel side. It was also confirmed that Capitan America and Morrigan will be making a franchise return.
Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite 2v2 battles as apposed to the series tradition of 3v3. Capcom has also promised a cinematic story mode. They also confirmed that there will be “a variety of accessible single player modes, including Training, Mission and Arcade modes.”
The games Infinite title comes from the use of the Infinity Stoves which feature heavily in the comic books and have also been a key storyline in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With this in mind could we possibly see Thanos turn up in the game? Maybe as the main Boss? Only time will tell.
Marvel and Capcom also confirmed that Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 will be coming to PlayStation 4. The game is now available today and can be downloaded digit tally for the PlayStation Store.
