Mass Effect: Andromeda Not Planned For Switch

Mass Effect: Andromeda

With the Nintendo Switch getting an official reveal in a couple of weeks, Mass Effect: Andromeda producer Mike Gamble has stated to Stevivor that the game is not being planned for the Switch.

However, Mike Gamble did state that it could happen in the future. He stated that “We’re not planning on it. If the Switch launches and everyone’s just yammering for Mass Effect, who knows. We never want to close doors like that.

As Mass Effect 3 was released on the Wii U this could be a bit of a blow for Nintendo fans and fans of the Mass Effect series.

Mass Effect: Andromeda still has no official release date yet but has been pegged for Spring this year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Gamble also stated in his interview with Stevivor that BioWare will be discussing the games PS4 Pro enhancements in either this month or next. It has also been rumoured that Mass Effect: Andromeda will be enhanced for Microsoft’s Project Scorpio as well.

We will be getting a lot more information about the Nintendo Switch in the next couple of weeks as Nintendo have a briefing scheduled for January 12th. The system’s specs and pricing will be announced as well as it’s launch line up.
