Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Nerfs ‘Fire-Hopping’

The controversial ‘fire-hopping’ technique that many players used in Mario Kart 8, is apparently being nerfed for the upcoming Deluxe edition in the game for Nintendo Switch.

Fire-Hopping is a controversial technique that lets players extend their power slide boost. According to the video below posted by GameXplain ‘Fire Hopping’ is considerably less effective in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

As stated in the video, fire-hopping may even slow players down now. This should be taken with a pinch of salt however, as this isn’t one hundred percent proof that fire-hopping has been nerfed for the game.
