Rock, Paper, Shotgun has been acquired by Gamer Network, a statement released on GamesIndustry.biz today reveals.
The PC specialist website has had a long standing partnership with Gamer Network in regards to providing advertising, this deal is reported to extend this cooperative venture. Founders Kieron Gillen and Jim Rossignol are to move on from the site, but all other current staff are to remain with Rock, Paper, Shotgun.
Rock, Paper, Shotgun editor Graham Smith says of the deal “Becoming a part of the same network as Eurogamer, ModDB, GamesIndustry.biz and VG247 means that we’ll benefit from the company’s larger resources”.
CEO and founder of Gamer Network, Rupert Loman, went on to provide this statement: “We have worked successfully together with Rock, Paper, Shotgun for the past seven years and we’re delighted to extend our partnership in the best way possible.”
