Tequila Works’ puzzle-game Rime will be getting a $10 reduction when it comes out on Nintendo Switch on May 26.
Originally Rime was going to cost an extra $10 on the switch compared to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game. The game will now cost $29.99 in the U.S., £29.99 in the U.K. and €34.99 in Europe on all four platforms.
Grey Box the game’s publisher commented on the games original price stating that “The reason for the higher price was due to the additional development, manufacturing, and publishing costs involved with [the Switch] port,” The company have now found a solution, so have reduced the games price.
Grey Box have not been able to reduce the price of the physical copy however. They have announced that all physical switch copies will instead receive a bonus download code for the games original score, composed by David Garcia.
