Atari Making A New Console


Atari CEO Fred Chesnais confirmed over E3 that the company is working on a games console. This is the first time the company have made a console in 24 years.

Chesnais confirmed the news in an interview with GamesBeat, he stated that Atari is “back in the hardware business.” The only other details that Chesnais could give about the console is that it is built on PC technology.

On the 8th of June, Atari posted a teaser video (which can be seen below) for the Ataribox. The title for the video states that this is “a brand new Atari product” which has been “years in the making.” Gamers who are interested to learn more about the Ataribox can sign up for more information on the Ataribox website.
