TellTales Games, the developers behind franchises such as The Walking Dead and Batman, has announced their new CEO, Pete Hawley, a former Zynga executive.
Hawley was senior vice president and general manager of games at Zynga before joining Telltale. Previous to that role, he co-founded Red Robot Labs, an augmented reality and location gaming company. He has also worked at Crowdstar, Electronic Arts / Criterion and Sony in the past and ran production for Lionhead Studios, working with Peter Molyneux on titles such as Black & White and Fable.
In an interview with Gamesbeat, Hawley said, “It’s quite an honor to join the team. I’ve been a huge fan since Telltale reinvented the old LucasArts games. Now it is working with some of the biggest intellectual properties in the world. It was too good an opportunity to pass up.”
Hawley will officially start at Telltale on 18 September.
