Atari has announced some new details for the upcoming Ataribox console. The company have shared some brand new images, specs and more.
Atari highlighted the consoles new features in a newsletter. The Ataribox will feature the following:
- It will be powered by a custom AMD processor with Radeon Graphics technology
- It will run Linux, sporting a “customized, easy-to-use user interface.”
- It will be a “full PC experience,” so you can also use it to stream content and listen to music, or whatever else you might do on a PC.
- The console will also come loaded with “tons of classic Atari retro games,” and “current titles from a range of studios.”
The company also teased that they have “lots more” to share in the coming weeks. The Ataribox will be launching an Indigogo campaign this Autumn. The company stated that they went with crowdfunding because they wants Ataribox users to be “part of this launch” and “part of the story.”
