Nintendo Switch Patch Adds Video Capture And Save Transfers

Nintendo have launched their firmware update 4.0.0 for the Switch that contains some new features such as save transfers and the ability to capture video on top of screenshots.

The profile transfer will move all data – eShop purchases, user profile, save data – from one Switch to another, only usable once and deleting the previous console’s data in the process. However this means that players cannot back up their data in any way still in case of damage or loss of their Switch.

The video recording feature functions the same way as capturing a screenshot, except players can hold the button for as long as 30 seconds to capture a video. Currently this only supports Zelda: BotW, Arms, Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
