Konami has lifted the lid off Metal Gear Survive, the latest instalment of the hugely popular stealth franchise, which is due to arrive in 2018. The new trailer introduces some of the single-player campaign’s basic survival and gameplay mechanics, and offers a glimpse of some key action sequences.
The Japanese publisher has also announced that Metal Gear Survive will go into beta from 18th to 21st January 2018, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. That beta phase will allow players to jump into the game’s co-operative mode.
Beta participants will be rewarded with a bonus redeemable when they purchase the full game, which will include a Fox Hound name-plate, an Accessory Metal Gear Rex head and an Accessory bandana.
Metal Gear Survive will pick up where Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes ended. It will see players sucked into a wormhole and sent to a: “Dangerous world filled with biological threats and hostile environments.” Metal Gear Survive is scheduled to become available on February 20, 2018, for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
