Square Enix announces Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Square Enix has revealed that the next Tomb Raider game, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, will be released on 14 September 2018.

Currently, the Anglo-Japanese publisher is saying little about the next instalment of Lara Croft-centric action, beyond the fact that it will come out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (with all three versions releasing concurrently).

At the moment, the above (rather unrevealing) trailer is all we have to go on, although Square Enix says that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be properly unveiled at an event on April 27. You might also want to keep an eye on the Tomb Raider website. Square Enix promises that fans can visit the website: “For a chance to play the game and meet the developers at one of three exclusive reveal events.”

As ever, we’ll bring you more news about the continuing adventures of Lara Croft when it emerges.
