Dying Light’s Bad Blood Battle Royale extension enters play-testing

Techland’s open-world zombie-shooter Dying Light has become the latest game to acquire a Battle Royale mode.

The Polish developer has created an extension to the PC version of Dying Light entitled Bad Blood – which is standalone, so doesn’t require the original game – and is poised to initiate a global play-test of it, for which you can sign up here

The first hands-on impressions of Bad Blood have begun to filter out – this is what PCGamesN thought of it. It combines PvP with PvE play: as well as taking out other human-controlled players, it encourages you to extract blood samples from NPC zombies. Rather than pitching the Battle Royale norm of 100 players against each other, each session is contested by six players since it includes a large population of NPCs.

Currently, Techland is only saying that Bad Blood will be released in 2018. As ever, we’ll keep you updated with its progress towards a general release.
