Telltale Games has announced that it is working on a game based on the Netflix TV series Stranger Things.
The developer, renowned for its point-and-click interpretations of The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and Batman, revealed on Twitter that it is working on turning the acclaimed TV series into a game. It said: “We’re thrilled to confirm that Telltale is developing a game based on Stranger Things that we’ll publish to consoles and computers at a later date.”
The project arose from a recently signed partnership between Telltale Games and Netflix, which will see Telltale’s game Minecraft Story mode “Coming to @Netflix in the fall as an interactive adventure.” In the same Twitter thread, Telltale said: “Our partnership with Netflix is something we’re incredibly proud of, and while we don’t have anything more to share right now, we’re excited to reveal details on these projects later in the year.”
As yet, nothing is known about Telltale’s Stranger Things game – which may turn out to conform to a more traditional template than Telltale Games’ usual offerings. As any more news emerges, we’ll bring it to you.
