Kingdom Hearts III trailer teases Tangled-inspired kingdom

Square Enix and Disney have released a Kingdom Hearts III trailer which shows the game’s kingdom of Corona, inspired by the film Tangled.

Square Enix describes the trailer thus: “As Rapunzel leaves her mysterious tower for the first time with the help of charming bandit Flynn Rider — Sora, Donald and Goofy join the pair on their adventure to the kingdom, taking on the Heartless along the way. The new trailer also showcases some of the unique combat players can enjoy in the Tangled-inspired world as the team defeat the Heartless with the help of Rapunzel’s magical golden hair.”

The highly anticipated Disney-universe RPG is scheduled for a 29 January 2019 release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Square Enix describes its overarching plot: “Kingdom Hearts III follows the journey of Sora, a young boy and unknowing heir to a spectacular power. Sora is joined by Donald Duck and Goofy to stop an evil force known as the Heartless from invading and overtaking the universe. Through the power of friendship, Sora, Donald and Goofy unite with iconic Disney-Pixar characters old and new to overcome tremendous challenges and persevere against the darkness threatening their worlds.”
