Path of Exile developer Grinding Gear Games has revealed that the action RPG is on its way to the PlayStation 4.
The game originally dropped onto PC in 2013, with an Xbox One version coming out last year in August 2017.
This announcement feels fairly timely, considering the rampant, ridiculous backlash towards Blizzard at the behest of their Blizzcon 2018 Diablo: Immortal reveal.
Immortal is a mobile port of one of the most respected and well-loved Action RPGs on the market, Diablo, a franchise that is undeniably part of Path of Exile’s DNA. Fans are upset at the lack of confirmation of a mainline Diablo game, and that the mobile port looks a lot like another NetEase game.
Path of Exile is coming to PS4 on December 7, and will most likely capitalise on the lack of Diablo in the market, something Blizzard is probably regretting right now, although an article earlier today by Kotaku stated that they may have had a Diablo 4 reveal video ready for the event.
