Sunset Overdrive confirmed for PC release

Microsoft has confirmed that a PC version of Sunset Overdrive is about to be released.

Insomniac’s over-the-top 2014 third-person shooter has, so far, been an Xbox One exclusive. However, following speculation that the developer will port it to the PC, Microsoft’s Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, tweeted: “Check out tomorrow’s This Week on Xbox when we welcome @insomniacgames’ @igTedPrice to talk about @SunsetOverdrive coming to Windows 10 PC. Don’t forget your can of OverCharge Delirium XT.”

Those who have waited for the anarchic action-adventure game to come to the PC won’t have long to wait, either: the PC version of Sunset Overdrive officially launches today (November 16), and will be published by THQ Nordic (which also published the PC version of ReCore).

In case you need a refresher, Sunset Overdrive describes itself thus: “The city’s overrun with mutants. Problem? Not for you. Sunset Overdrive is an open-world playground of post-apocalyptic possibilities. Vault, grind & wall-run while using a deadly & unconventional arsenal. With hyper-agility, unique weapons, & customizable abilities, it rewrites the rules of shooters while delivering an irreverent adventure.” For more information, have a look at its website
