Insomniac snaps up Telltale Games lead writer

Insomniac Games has hired Mary Kenney, formerly lead writer on The Walking Dead: The Final Season at Telltale Games.

Kenney tweeted the announcement, saying: “I am over-the-moon thrilled to tell y’all that I’m joining @insomniacgames in the New Year.” She had only been at Telltale Games for 16 months, but swiftly rose to the role of lead writer on the doomed developer’s flagship last project. It’s not yet known what she will be working on at Insomniac Games, which has reportedly now finished the DLC programme for its smash-hit PS4 game Marvel’s Spider-Man.

As we reported, Telltale Games collapsed in October, leaving over 200 employees looking for new jobs.

Many ex-Telltale Games employees have been taken on by Skybound Games, which is finishing off the last episodes of The Walking Dead: The Final Season. For further news, keep an eye on Skybound and Insomniac’s websites.
