Spider-Man developers Insomniac Games have dropped an update for the PS4 title that has brought the heavily requested ‘Sam Raimi’ suit to the game.
It has been a topic of controversy for the developer after fans revolted over the fact that it wasn’t part of the lineup for the skins added in the game’s third DLC pack.
“The City That Never Sleeps” adds new story content and a special set of suits, including an “Into the Spider-Verse” outfit that homages the recently released Sony movie.
However, fans responded with outcry at the decision not to include the so-called “Raimi Suit.” The suit was popularized by Toby Maguire in the first crop of big-budget Spider-Man movies that dropped in the early 2000s.
Now, in what looks to be a gesture of goodwill for the holidays, the developer has pushed the suit live on PS4, announcing the content drop with a tweet from the company account.
So there you go, crisis averted. It’s a shame that they may have had to rush this out to meet the loud fan demands, but regardless, it solves the problem and keeps everybody happy. Boot up the game again today and you can cosplay as everybody’s favorite pizza-delivering emo hero.
