Overnight Battle Royale smash hit Apex Legends keeps on growing in popularity with no signs of stopping.
After just a week of the game being live, Respawn’s Vince Zampanella took to Twitter to announce that the game had hit yet another milestone, 25 million players.
As well as that overwhelming amount of Legends on the field, Zampanella also made note in a blog post that the game has achieved over 2 million concurrent players at one time.
These are stunning stats for a game that was Beyoncé-launched out of nowhere. I guess Respawn have the many streamers and #ApexPartners to thank for creating such a distinct buzz around the game.
Season One of the game is set to launch in March as it nips at the heels of its main competitor, Epic Games’ Fortnite. Players will also be able to pick up some love-themed Valentine’s Day loot this week.
These numbers are sure to grow with the Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge, a tournament involving some of the worlds top streamers which kicks off today.
This is great news for Respawn, who are finally receiving the recognition they deserve after its excellent Titanfall series struggled to sell.
