Square Enix has released a new teaser trailer for the Final Fantasy VII Remake which shows the massively anticipated RPG’s revamped combat system in action.
The new trailer first aired as part of Sony’s most recent State of Play livestream. It’s the first footage to have emerged of the game since its initial announcement at the 2015 E3 Show, and features great-looking high-resolution versions of several much-loved characters including Cloud, Aerith, Barret and Sephiroth.
Plus it gives a tantalising first glimpse of the game’s revamped combat system. Game director Tetsuya Nomura also tweeted about the Final Fantasy VII Remake, saying: “Most of the plans are already in place in the run up to launch, so please bear with us a little longer until we can release more information next month.” A legend at the end of the trailer also promised that Square Enix will reveal more about the game in June – presumably at the E3 Show.
Hopefully, that reveal will include a release date for the game, which has so far only been confirmed for PlayStation 4. For more information, visit its official website.
