A free PC demo version of Quantic Dreams’ Beyond: Two Souls has been made available as an Epic Games Store exclusive.
Quantic Dream has detailed what form the demo of the interactive adventure game, starring Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe and originally released as a PlayStation 3 exclusive in 2013, takes: “The demo experience lasts around one hour, and includes two levels: join a very young Jodie as she takes part in an experiment at the Department of Paranormal Activities. While officials put her abilities to the test, you take charge of a mysterious, invisible entity. Skip forward a number of years and you need to help Jodie escape the clutches of government agents as the mysterious entity unleashes its truly astonishing powers.”
So, the PC demo will offer a small taste of the game, which originally contained 24 chapters along with a prologue and an epilogue. The full PC version of the game will be released on July 22, also exclusively to the Epic Games Store, priced at £15.99. The demo can be downloaded – and the full version of the game pre-ordered – here.
As we reported, Quantic Dream’s previous game, the 2010 psychological thriller Heavy Rain, was made available on the Epic Games Store on 24 May, and the PC version of the company’s 2018 game Detroit: Become Human will also hit the Epic Games Store at an unspecified date: “Later this summer,” presumably also preceded by a free demo version.
Quantic Dream has not yet revealed what game it is currently developing, although it hinted on Twitter at the start of 2019 that it will reveal its follow-up to Detroit: Become Human before too long. So you might want to keep an eye on the French developer’s website.
