Hot on the heels of the success of Resident Evil Village, offering fans of the franchise something a little different, is the upcoming PVP focused standalone game Resident Evil Re:Verse. Due to release Summer 2021, it was initially thought that the game would release alongside the launch of Resident Evil Village. After a few months of closed beta testing it was confirmed that it would be releasing later during the summer window.
But what exactly is this game all about? Well, here are the details you need to know about this brand new Resi survival horror experience
What is Re:Verse?
Resident Evil Re:Verse will see you testing your skills against other players in a four-to-six person horror revenge match, where you will get to play as some of the most memorable characters from the Resident Evil series. Wield powerful bioweapons and make use of items in 5 minute deathmatches and try to score the most points to come out on top.
If you’re taken out, your body will transform into a powerful bioweapon which can be used against players. Transform into even stronger bioweapons by collecting virus capsules and become the ultimate weapon.
The recent Resident Evil Re:Verse brings up the number of beta’s held so there is every possibility more will be in the future. If you’re interested keep your eye out on the official twitter for more info.
This is a PVP game, so those who might be hoping for a Resident Evil Re:Verse coop experience will be left wanting.
What can you play on?
Resident Evil Re:Verse will release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. It will also be free if you already own a copy of Resident Evil Village. If you purchase Resident Evil Village on the PS5 then Resident Evil Re:Verse will be the PS4 version. The same applies if you purchased Village on the Xbox Series X, it will be the Xbox One version of the game. Unfortunately Resident Evil Re:Verse cross platform isn’t a feature we can expect to see.
Who can you play as?
The thing that most people will be interested in is who can we play as? You can expect to see some very familiar faces with both the human and bioweapon characters with most of the fan favourites making the list. There are 6 playable human characters and 5 bioweapon characters to play as.
Here are all Resident Evil Re:Verse playable characters:-
