League of Legends co-founders to work on new game for Riot Games

The co-founders of League of Legends developer Riot Games, Brandon Beck and Marc Merrill, have hinted a change in their roles to focus on something new from the studio as reported in Gamesindustry.biz.

In a blog post, they said “in our new roles we’re focusing on what is ultimately the most important thing we do: making great games”.

Dylan Jadeja (CFO), Scott Gelb (CTO), and Nicolo Laurent (President) who have been at Riot Games for a long time will be handling the company’s operations moving forward.

The last part of their blog post hinted strongly at the development of a new game but there was no indication on whether this was a League of Legends spin-off or a brand new IP.
