Machine Games and Arkane Lyon have been cooking up a storm for the next Wolfenstein game, and we finally received our first look.
Soundtracked by heroic synths from Carpenter Brut, the new Wolfenstein Youngblood trailer reveals an alternative future, where the two badass daughters of BJ Blazkowicz must rescue their father from the clutches of Nazi-controlled Paris.
The game is set in the 1980s and looks absolutely stunning, as Jess and Soph carve through Nazis with visceral flair, boasting power armour and mech suits. It’s soaked in neon and blood, a grisly but effective mix.
Youngblood’s unique selling point is that it will be fully co-op, and today we learned that it will feature a buddy pass system similar to A Way Out, where if you own the game you can give your friend access to it for free. A clever move that will no doubt get more players punching Nazis, which can only be a good thing in the long run.
The trailer also dropped the release date for the game. Youngblood will launch simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on July 26th this year.
