Netflix to make videogames show debut at E3 2019

Netflix Videogames

Netflix has revealed that it will make its first appearance at a videogames show at this year’s E3.

The official E3 Twitter account and Netflix’s own Twitter account confirmed that the streaming giant will host a panel at this year’s E3 Coliseum, entitled: “Bringing Your Favorite Shows to Life: Developing Netflix Originals into Video Games.”

Netflix has confirmed that it will show Stranger Things 3: The Game at E3, a retro, interactive take on the popular TV series, which will be released concurrently with Series 3 — on Xbox One, PS4, Switch and mobile – when it first airs on July 4, 2019.

Netflix’s first foray into videogames was the acclaimed interactive episode of Black Mirror, Bandersnatch. Telltale Games was also known to be working on a Stranger Things game when it collapsed, so hopes are high that Netflix may announce a resurrection of that project at E3.

Currently, E3’s Coliseum program of panels and talks doesn’t have a nailed-down schedule. So keep an eye on its website to find out when Netflix’s panel will be taking place.
