If you’ve not caught up with how it all works you can head over to the Green Man Gaming Summer Sale Store page to find out exactly how you get your five free games with each qualifying purchase on the store. To summarise, if you buy a game labeled with either a Gold, Silver or Bronze tag you can pick a free game from the relevant selection.

It’s more than enough to get the budding strategist mulling over options and outcomes.

So you’re an Indie gamer who loves beautifully crafted puzzles with adorable characters and sad depressing storylines that have life-affirming messages? You’re buying Candle aren’t you! Well, why not pair it with a fast-paced, top-down, Stick man style shooter? I mean it’s a match made in heaven right?
This combo is all about trying something different, State of Anarchy is a cheeky top-down crime simulator. Run around town, robbing banks, shooting cops and running down anyone in your path. Then go back to playing some Candle to soothe your road rage.

So clearly you’re the type that enjoys a good sci-fi scare with your FPS experience, so why not pick up one of the definitive franchises that started the genre of First Person Spookers (it’s a thing trust me).
F.E.A.R. 3 built on an already established franchise that brought together the quality shooting of Half Life and Counter Strike into a deep and terrifying narrative focused around Alma and her incredible psychic abilities. Pair this with the intensity of Prey and you’ve got yourself a perfect combo of action, mystery and a need for fresh trousers.
F.E.A.R. 3 is also a good combo for Wolfenstein 2 or Doom for those looking to catch up on those franchises before the new titles drop later this year.
Buying Dragonball Fighter Z? Pick up Injustice Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition for free
So this was a hard one, we could’ve easily picked Tekken 7, Street Fighter V, Injustice 2 for the completionist or even Marvel vs Capcom (all in the sale as well) but ultimately we went with Dragonball Fighter Z because of its contrasting mechanics and visuals.
DBFZ emulates the ever-popular tv show with its anime-style visuals and upbeat over the top characters. Whereas Injustice is a dark and gritty depiction of our favorite DC heroes in a more grounded experience (ten points if you get that joke)
Buying Warhammer Vermintide 2 Collectors edition? Pick up Warhammer End Times Vermintide for free
Another combo for the collectors/completionists out there. This time we’re in the Warhammer universe with the Vermintide games. Jump in with your friends into the end times of the iconic Warhammer Fantasy setting as you work with your team to survive the invasion of the Skaven hordes.

Some other noteworthy combos include pairing Big Buck Hunter Arcade from the Silver Tier free games, with your purchase of Hunting Simulator. Maybe enjoy some high-speed space racing with Space ribbon as your freebie with a purchase of Stellaris? If you’re a pure DC comics kind of person though, and you’re buying a copy of Injustice 2, then you have a great comic book filled choice of taking either LEGO Batman OR Batman Arkham Asylum as your freebie from the Gold Tier games.
